Tyndall Hounds (Diavolos occultus) are a species of canine Devil.
.anatomy
Tyndall Hounds are vaguely canine, reaching a shoulder height of ~120 cm and a length of ~160 cm. They are entirely skeletal in appearance, lacking any and all organs and muscles, leaving them as only a skeleton. All of their bones are sharp, pointed, and made of semi-opaque glass. Their head and jaws are also slightly oversized when compared to their body.

Tyndall Hounds are pack hunters, living in packs of three to four individuals, with an intelligence similar to that of a grey wolf. They can remain hidden and hibernating for years at a time, remaining semi-aware of their surroundings, able to return to full capacity within seconds. Due to the glass structure of their skeleton, a moderately strong impact is enough to cripple if not outright kill one.
.abilities
Tyndall Hounds have the ability to become completely transparent across the entire light spectrum, to mimic the exact air temperature, to interface with the air and sound waves, to manipulate other electromagnetic radiation types on a cellular level, essentially become totally invisible and impossible to track. While hidden, they can also manipulate their density, mass and state of matter, which means they can essentially reduce their weight and can even allow other objects to phase through them for a short time without causing distress to the organism. And while they remain untrackable, they can still clearly perceive their environment through sound, smell and temperature. In order to actually attack, however, Tyndall Hounds need to reveal themselves.
.reproduction
Tyndall Hounds reproduce asexually. Mature Tyndall Hounds will regurgitate a juvenile Tyndall Hound, measuring ~20 cm, around once per year. The juvenile will reach adulthood in ~6 months, and will often split from its family pack once it does so, unless one of its original members dies.
.diet
Tyndall Hounds are carnivorous. Most of their eating process is just chewing, since they have no way of swallowing or stomach to store the food. They chew the food into a liquid a paste as possible, which will then get absorbed by the cells in their mouth and transported through the bone structure throughout their entire bodies.
