Kirlian Mimics (Diavolos simulacrum) are a species of copycat Devil.
.anatomy
Kirlian Mimics are colonial organisms, composed of multiple segments. Each superorganism is humanoid, reaching ~1.8 m in height. They resemble featureless, wooden mannequins. Their only facial feature are their eyes, resembling large, black cavities extending into their skull. Their hands are proportionally oversized for their body, and each has five articulated fingers, extending into sharp, metal claws.

Kirlian Mimics spend their idle times posing dramatically, with their joints able to lock in place. They will occasionally switch position, as prolonged sedentariness will cause their joints to stiffen. They will quickly snap to action whenever something enters their sensory range, but they do seem to have a lack of prolonged object permanence. Since the only non-flammable part of their body are their claws, they will attempt to avoid all types of fire.

Kirlian Mimics have the ability to copy the abilities of other creatures. They do this by reading the behaviour of Anima in relation to their target, emulating the reading and by extension the ability. Since they reproduce only the outcome, the possible downfalls that may come with the origin of the ability are ignored. Kirlian Mimics copy other abilities instinctually and immediately gain awareness of how to use them upon acquiring them, with no set limit of held abilities. They can, however, only copy beings within a radius of 20 m around them; if the original possessor leaves this radius, the Kirlian Mimic will lose access to the ability on the spot. They can also copy some Anima-independent abilities, such as kinetic or energetic weapons, but cannot copy any anti-Anima abilities.
Kirlian Mimics lack all senses. They navigate their surroundings by interpreting the Anima around them and inside other beings. They use fear sensing as a targeting system, allowing them to differentiate individuals and focus in Anima-dense locations.
.reproduction
Since each segment of a Kirlian Mimic is an individual, they will reproduce by cloning. If a segment is separated from the main body, it will attempt to reform into another Kirlian Mimic, either by combining with other stray segments into a full organism, or by regrowing the adjacent segments. In certain scenarios, multiple full Kirlian Mimics will combine into one superorganism, abolishing the standard humanoid body structure.

Kirlian Mimics don’t eat. They have zero way of processing food or feeling taste.
