Fae (Fae sapiens) are a species of humanoid Chimera.
.anatomy
Fae have a humanoid body plan, reaching ~2 m in height. They have bluish-grey skin, covered with patches of very fine scales, possess large, circular eyes, digitigrade legs, and sharp, elongated ears. Their body is hairless, with the exception of their scalp, which grows similar to humans. The colour of their Phlogiston is red.

Fae are sapient, and highly social, forming large, highly industrialised cities and settlements, along the rims of craters, sinkholes, volcanoes caldera, and general circular depressions in the ground. The lingua franca of Fae is Faevael.
Their neural structure is wired in such a way that makes outright lying an extremely taxing task, meaning they prefer lying for omission. To counteract this, Fae bureaucracy and legislature is incredibly dense and hard to navigate, anticipating every possible edge-case scenario. This also makes them extremely gullible, as they haven’t developed the mental defences for lying. Their natural predators are Mardykhora.
.abilities
Fae have a great mastery over Pyrokinesis, with their easiest techniques being releasing Phlogiston from their hands. Whenever using Pyrokinesis, a Fae’s hair will begin burning, although this doesn’t damage it.
The greatest weakness Fae have is towards iron. Direct contact with elemental iron releases certain ions that disrupt their ability their ability to release Phlogiston, along with draining them of all energy and strength. The system returns to normal not long after contact is disrupted.
.reproduction
Fae reproduce sexually, giving birth to live young, which are nursed for ~2 years. The gestation period is ~9 months, and full sexual maturity is reached in ~18 years, after which the aging rate slows drastically. The average Fae life span is ~120 years, with only a minimal decrease in performance.
Fae are capable of reproducing with humans. The result is a half-breed, anatomically identical to a human, with the exception of a Phlogiston soul, slower aging and higher muscle strength. Half-breed will always be born between a Fae and a human/half-breed. Relations between a human and half-breed will result in a regular human. If the human is a hybrid and one of the parents is a Fae/half-breed, the result will always be a half-breed/human.

Fae are omnivorous, with a slightly higher metabolism than humans.
